There’s a deep wisdom that lives within each of us, a steady, unshakeable knowing each one of us has on what we “should do”, even when life feels messy, uncertain, or overwhelming. The problem is that It’s easy to forget that when we are weighed down by stress, heartbreak, or low vibrational energy. But, everything you could ever need is already available inside of you. You simply need to remember how to tap into it.
If you’re navigating a tough season right now, here are six foundation tools to help you reconnect to yourself and get back into alignment.
First ~ Slow Down and Get Quiet
When the outside world is loud and demanding, your internal voice gets drowned out. Make space for stillness. Sit in silence and take a few deep slow breaths for a few minutes each day, it’s scientifically proven to calm the nervous system and get you out of the fight of flight mode. Step outside without your phone. Breathe deeply. Get morning light, It’s in these pauses that clarity often arrives, usually from a subtle tap or call to take an action, contact a friend or go somewhere. Learn to listen to these hints.

Secondly ~ Reconnect to Yourself
A lot of us carry trapped energy, especially in our first three energy centres, this is particularly true when we’re living in survival mode. Gentle movement like a walk in nature, breathwork, or a swim allows us to begin unblocking this stuck energy.
What happens is our bodies get caught in loops of pain: thinking, then feeling, then back to thinking again. We create a negative process that becomes hardwired into our nervous system as an automatic daily habit. When we slowly reconnect with ourselves by getting present, breathing through, and releasing that toxic energy is a powerful way we can start to unblock, to shift it and begin feeling like ourselves again.
When we constantly loop old negative events, we’re literally rewiring our minds for pain and suffering. The key to breaking this cycle is rewiring the subconscious — and meditation is one of the most effective tools for this. But the first step is getting grounded through movement and breath. From there, we can start to intentionally create a new future, one we’re proud to live in.

Thirdly ~ Practice Radical Self-Compassion
When you’re low, it’s tempting to be hard on yourself. But what you need is kindness. Speak to yourself like you would to a friend going through the same thing. Say: “This is a tough chapter, but it’s not the whole story.” Self-compassion raises your vibration and reconnects you with your humanity.
Fourth ~ Get Honest About What You’re Avoiding
Sometimes what keeps us stuck isn’t what’s happening, it’s what we refuse to face and learn from. A question like: “What am I pretending not to know?” This question can help to give some clues and if you're honest with yourself, the answers might sting. Sometimes this work needs someone to help you remove the blinkers and ask questions that will allow you to trust and free your inner knowing.
Fifth ~ Surround Yourself with Grounding, Uplifting Energy
Your environment matters, when a goldfish is sick you change it's environment, i.e it's water. This is the same for us, when we seek out new spaces, listen to music, read books and visit places that feel good we change our state. This does not have to be perfect. Nature is one of the purest ways to reconnect to a higher energy. Curate what you consume. Protect your peace.
Sixth ~ Anchor Into a Daily Reminder
Choose a mantra or affirmation that reconnects you to yourself. Start with this:
“Everything I could ever need is already inside of me. I simply need to tap into my inner knowing.”
Write it down. Repeat it before bed. Whisper it in the mirror. The more you say it, the more you’ll start to believe it.

Your power, peace, and clarity don’t lie in someone else’s hands. They live in you. Beneath the noise, beneath the fear, beneath the old stories. When you slow down, reconnect and listen, you’ll find they are always there; you just need to hear them.
And you’ll remember ~ you’ve had everything you needed all along.
