Stop Sleepwalking Through Life

You Can’t Build a Life by Accident~ it doesn’t just fall into place. If anything, the opposite happens. You drift, get stuck, and everything starts to fall apart. Too many people sleepwalk through life, like a leaf in the wind, getting knocked around by every gust of wind that buffets them. They think change will just happen if they wait long enough. But nothing in life changes until you do.

Waiting for life to change won’t get you anywhere—Only action will.
Waiting for life to change won’t get you anywhere—Only action will.

What Do You Want?

As I’ve written about before, pain is a big motivator for change. The next step is to get deeply committed to your why, this is key to rediscovering your way. It all starts with a reason powerful enough to shake you to your core. One that fuels you when you want to quit, one that’s bigger than your doubts. What’s driving you? Comfort? Fear? Or a deep desire to become the person you were meant to be?

Avoid Distraction

Discipline is a super power. How much are you willing to sacrifice for the life you say you want? Change doesn’t come from waiting ~ it comes from choosing, committing, and burning the boats so that there is no turning back. The question is, how badly do you want it?

Nothing Comes Easily

You will be tested by life. How long have you lived in old patterns of thinking, reacting, and avoiding? Life will throw obstacles your way to see if you’re really committed. The challenge will ask you to choose, to face your demons and inner fears, and do it anyway, or will you slip back into comfort, excuses, and self-doubt? Holding the line in the face of fear is incredibly empowering but it’s the choice you make, even when no one else is watching?

Do The Work

Every single day, it’s on you to do the work. No one is going to show up and push you forward. No one is going to hold your hand. No one is going to make it easier. When you feel like giving up, feel tired or things are not going your way, remind yourself why you started, why you never want to go back to where you were. This is never easy but it’s why so few succeed, get up when you fall. Commit. Do it again and again.

“Every day I demand more of myself than anyone else could possibly expect” ~ Michael Jordan

Step Out of the Comfort Zone

We’ve all been conditioned to believe that fitting in is the goal. Wrong. The people who truly transform their lives are the ones who are willing to break the mold, take the risk, and go against the grain. They push themselves past fear, past doubt, and past comfort. They do what others won’t. So which one are you?

You vs. The World

Often, it’s going to just be you against the world ~ and you need to be okay with that. The majority of successful, fulfilled, and self-made people know what it’s like to stand alone in the dark, with no applause, no validation, and no guarantees. And yet, they kept going. The world called them an “overnight success” after ten years of struggling in the shadows.

This is your life. Build it. Or let it slip away.

What is the biggest hurdle to long term success? It’s consistent action, this is why I believe we all need people to hold us accountable. It’s now more easy than ever to commit to something only to have the thing we want in our lives pushed aside by the distractions we have.

I have been coaching for over ten years now, results come from the people who commit and who have someone to hold the accountable. Even the best players in the world have coaches, we all have blind spots.

I have a 12 week coaching program to help you take the action to live life on your terms.

This year more than any in our history is one of renewal, of change and letting go of the old so we can bring in the new and better.

I just wonder if not now, then when, when will you take the action to live a life that makes you feel alive and deeply connected?  When will you commit to you?
